Encyclis Rookery South Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) is located near Stewartby in Bedfordshire, just a few minutes off the M1 Motorway and only 20 minutes from Milton Keynes central.
This impressive three-line facility has been operational since January 2022 and has the capacity to process 585,000 tonnes of residual waste annually, delivering sustainable electricity to meet the needs of around 112,000 homes.
As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you’ll keep our plant running safely and at peak performance - from PPM and fault finding to high‑tempo breakdown response and major work during planned outages / shutdowns.
Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader, you’ll maintain and repair core mechanical assets (e.g. materials/ash handling, rotating equipment, pumps/valves and boiler auxiliaries), ensuring high reliability, maximum availability and full compliance with Encyclis procedures, legislation and the Environmental Permit.
A strong focus on safe systems of work, including permit-to-work, isolations and risk assessment, is essential in a our environment.
Core duties
